I was googling for otter/squirrel hybirds when I came across something. Did anyone else know that both otter and squirrel young are called pups? Squirrel young are also called kits as well!

SO now I'm wondering. Do any of you know about any other animal young with odd names you would normally associate with another animal?

welll... wolf pups are sometimes called whelps

Hehehe! Otters are too! Otters have a lot of canine names added to them it seems. Must be cause they're sometimes called Riverdogs (or Seadogs). There's actually a species of otter know as a River Wolf because of it's sheer size!
