| I saw this on ADISC and tried it, and since it's really addictive, I thought I'd share it with you, so here.
Basically, what Audiosurf does is that it lets you upload your music to create a custom 'ride'. You just choose a character which represents the game mode (for example, if you choose Mono, during the ride you have to step on the colored blocks and avoid the gray ones). When your song is finished uploading, you can see the map of the track, which indicated the speed, mood and angle of the track and lets you know the intense and hot parts of the song.
What makes it even more fun is that there are ranking boards for each song you play... So make sure the MP3 tags are exact (name and artist). =3
Audiosurf is really unique because the game interprets the uploaded songs so... perfectly, it feels really natural and I can play and enjoy my music at the same time. Unfortunately, you have a limited number of uploads with the Beta version. The full version costs $9 before February 15th (the release date) and $10 after this.
And damn, I realize that this thread looks like an advertisement... I certainly didn't want to do that, though. It's just worth being shared. The official website is www.audio-surf.com. The download is currently down so you may want to look around on Google, I found a fast download in less than five minutes. I hope you try it and have fun. |
