Mercury manouvered the Time Raves so that the exterior doors were lined up with the Stelllar Lancer, they were at an odd angle due to the radically different species who had built them. There was a clunk, and the two ships were locked togeather.

Joren got up and walked down to the airlock. The ship's AI had things under control on the bridge. Once at the inner air lock door he opened it up. "Welcome to the Stellar Lance." Joren smiled.

Mercury was on the other side of the airlock. THe coridoor behind him lit primarily in blue as his people prefered. He was wearing his usual black pants, boots and shirt with long blue coat and nodded. "Likewhise aboard the Time Raven." He stepped over the threshhold.

Joren's ship was lit in a basic light range. He was dressed in hi sown black pants, boots, a shirt, and a long sleeveless coat. "Ah I see you prefer blue. I've always found it to be an interesting color." Joren commenting noticing your ship's lighting.

Mercury nodded, "Blue is the colour of the sea, and my peoples prefered environment." He said, looking arround the interior of the Stellar Lance. "Impressive ship." He commented.

"Thank you. I'm very proud of it. I designed it myself....mostly." Joren said smiling looking at the hull. "Its my pride and joy."

Mercury nodded, "I know wyat you mean. There's a bond that forms between a pilot and their ship, I feel the same way about the Raven."

"Yup. You can't help but come to feel connected to your ship. I've been through a lot with this one. I've got some history with this ship. My father started designing it. When he died I kept on designing it for him. First chance I had I got it built." Joren said with a sentimental sigh and placed his hand on the wall. "Odd. He never set foot on this ship yet I always seem to be able to feel his presence here."

Mercury nodded solemly. "I can see how that would feel. After all, it was his ship." He grinned, "Me and my ship have a bit of a history too. I came across her in a cetan shipyard, not the bigggest or best, but I just connected with her." He sighed, "Then I went on a trip arround, on my way I went into a darkened system... And I had to help... Reguardless what governments say they aren't doing what they should and I don't honestly care if they don't like me saying so."

"I agree with you there. Many worlds in the dying systems only care about saving the wealthiest among them. Even if it means everyone else has to die. Those kinds of people have not business Making such choices. I do what I can to save as many as I am able. I've made friends with governments that actually exist to help there people. Become enemy to those that only serve themselves. Once I stole a ship meant to evacuate a hand full of rich snobs in comfort. 200 people. That ship ended up carrying 5000 civilians to safety while those two hundred rich snobs were left to freeze." Joren sneered. "Men with hearts as cold as that should end in that same kind of cold."

Mercury smiled, "Poetic justice at it's finest." He remarked. "Never done anything to that extent. But I've diverted supplies, and snuck the occasional passengers."

"Yes. Usually my exploits are more tame. Same as you diverting supplies and smuggling some passengers. Sometimes when my services as a smuggler aren't needed I'll take a job escorting Evac vessels. Usually it's a cake walk. Usually." Joren said remembering a few instances where they got swarmed.

Mercury smiled, "I can imagine, been through my share of scrapes." He pointed out on a datapad the modifications to the ravens design. "Helps to have some extra firepower on occasion."

"Ah very nice. Yeah. My ship's pretty well armed as well. And the hull armor can actually repair itself using micro replicators. Dual layer shielding. One layer goes down the other should hold long enough for the first to regenerate." Joren said brining up some of the specs on his own vessel.

Mercury grinned, "Very imperssive. Have to remember to ask you about the regeneration equipment." He said. "My sheilds are generated by twin generators for a simmilar effect. And hull armor is designed to redirect beam weapon energy to increase the ships power supply."
