PostSubject: Jerry's stories!   Jerry's stories! Icon_minitimeSun Jul 25, 2010 2:23 pm

I decided to make a topic to put my stories. All of them can be found on my FA account: http://www.furaffinity.net/user/jerrytehmunk/ as well once they are completed. Currently I have six that are completed and a couple others in the works, so enjoy. ^.^

First up is my next work-in-progress story, A Day at the Park. =3

A Day at the Park

The sunlight was just barely making its way through the curtains of Jerry’s bedroom as the little chipmunk slowly began to open his eyes. He yawned softly and stretched out before sitting up in his big boy bed. It was early, earlier than he was use to waking up for sure! He looked towards the small digital clock by his bed. The numbers read 6:30, although he wasn’t quite sure what that meant for he barely knew how to tell time. He knew it was early, though, because he did not hear the usual noise of mommy and daddy scurrying about as he usually did when he woke up.

It must be really, really early! The three-year-old chipmunk thought excitedly as he sat on the edge of his bed. This was a new adventure waiting to happen! Jerry stood up and frowned as his night time pull-up sagged from the wetness it contained.

“Aww, wet again!” Jerry said out loud as he tugged down his pajama bottoms and checked his pull-up. The moon designs below the picture of a little rodent toddler happily sleeping were all faded away, and the pull-up itself had a very faint yellow tinge to it.

Jerry sighed as he pulled his pajama bottoms back up, then walked over to his slightly-opened bedroom door and peeked around it. He could detect a faint light coming from the kitchen, so he knew someone must be up now. He listened for a second. He could hear what sounded like grown-ups talking and walking about. Jerry slowly pulled the door open and tip-toed into the living room, and then peeked into the dining room. His big brother Kenny was sitting at the table eating breakfast, already dressed for school. Beside the front door sat Kenny’s backpack. Jerry had always wondered what the big kids carried in their backpacks, so while Kenny wasn’t looking he crept over and unzipped it slowly so it wouldn’t make a sound. Inside he found a lot of big, heavy books that didn’t look like they were very much fun to read, as well as a funny looking book that didn’t have much paper in it, but instead had three rings inside of it that held paper with holes in it!

Suddenly, he heard what sounded like grown-up footsteps coming, so, without closing the backpack back up, he ran and hid under the couch, afraid to get caught. He saw the feet of what looked like Mommy, and heard her talk to Kenny.

“Kenny, you’d better hurry up! The bus will be here soon!” he heard her say. He then heard the soft screeching as Kenny’s chair moved against the hard wood floor, and watched as he walked to the front door. “Huh?” Kenny said as he noticed his backpack.

Uh-oh! Jerry thought, hoping he wasn’t about to get caught!

“What’s wrong sweetie?” he heard Mommy ask.

“I could’ve sworn my backpack was closed when I put it here…” Kenny replied as he bent down and zipped it back up, then picked it up and dashed outside, calling, “Bye mom!”
“Bye sweetie, have a great day!” Mommy called back as she appeared to go into another room. Jerry made sure the coast was clear before crawling out from under the couch, but just as he did Mommy entered the living room again! Uh-oh, caught! “And as for you, mister!” she said as she picked him up, tickling him affectionately, “what are you doing up so early?”

“Umm…” Jerry squeaked shyly as he giggled from the tickles, trying to think of a reason, “I woke up an’ wanted to get up!” he said.

Mommy smiled as she checked Jerry’s pull-up and found it wet, so she carried him into his room to change his pull-up. “I was about to wake you up, anyway,” she said as she slipped off his pajama bottoms and wet pull-up, then tossed it in the trash and his pajamas in the dirty clothes hamper and pulled a fresh daytime pull-up with prints of a smiling rodent furry with an acorn from the pack that read ‘Cubbies Rodent Trainers: Daytime’. “Can you put it on by yourself?” she asked Jerry.

The toddler chipmunk nodded eagerly, “Uh-huh, I can! I’m a big boy!” he grinned as he took the pull-up and concentrated as he put his right leg through the right leg opening, and his left leg through the left leg opening, then pulled them up over his waist and reached back to fasten the tail tab, squeaking happily as he did it all by himself! He was a big boy, and didn’t need help getting dressed anymore, after all, and mommy even commented on it!

Next, it was time to get dressed for the day, so Mommy went over to the dresser and pulled out two shirts: one that was orange with blue stripes, and one that was green and had an acorn on the front. Jerry used eeny-meeny-miny-moe to pick one out, and ended up with the green one, so Mommy put the other one away and gave Jerry the one he chose, which he put on all by himself with almost no help from mommy, though he did admittedly get tangled up a bit at first. Finally, he put on a pair of khaki shorts his mommy gave him, and climbed down from the changing table.

“My, what a big boy you are! You can dress yourself and everything!” Mommy commented, which caused Jerry to giggle, “Come on, big boy, let’s go have some breakfast!”

Jerry grinned as he spread his arms out and ran into the dining room like an airplane! He circled around the table a few times before Mommy walked in, and then climbed up into his booster seat. They had recently taken down his old highchair after Jerry complained that he was a big boy, and no longer needed a baby high chair! Though he was still a bit short for the table, but that problem was easily fixed with a booster seat that he had no problem climbing into! He watched eagerly as Mommy went into the kitchen and poured some cereal in a small blue bowl along with some milk, and then set it in front of Jerry with a spoon and a sippy cup of apple juice, “Dig in, big boy!” she smiled as she tied his bib around his neck. He was about to protest that he was a big boy who could eat without spilling anything all over himself, but then remembered how messy cereal could be, so he kept quiet as he happily ate while Mommy sat down in the chair next to him.

“Today’s such a nice day,” she commented as she looked outside, “how would you like to go to the park?”

“Ooh! Can we Mommy?” Jerry chirped eagerly after swallowing a spoonful of cereal and milk. Mommy didn’t have to go to work today, which meant Jerry didn’t have to go to daycare, so he looked forward to spending the day with her, and going to the park sounded like a great idea to him!

Mommy smiled, “I don’t see why not,” she chuckled as Jerry cheered happily.

The rest of breakfast was pretty much quiet as Jerry ate his cereal and Mommy went to get her bag (which Jerry constantly had to remind everyone that it was not a diaper bag, because it didn’t contain diapers) and stocked it with spare pull-ups, a spare change of shorts, wipes, and other things she thought they might need. When she returned, Jerry was already standing at the front door, ready to go. “Did you go potty?” she asked him like she always did before they left to go anywhere.

“Umm, well…” Jerry stuttered as his mommy gave him a look that he knew meant he should try and go, so he went to the bathroom and climbed up onto the big potty after lowering his little seat, then tugged down his shorts and pull-up and sat down, swinging his legs a bit. He managed a little trickle, which made him happy, “I won’t have an accident at all today!” he chirped to himself. After making sure he was done, he hopped off the potty and pulled his shorts and pull-up back up, then flushed the potty all by himself (he had gotten use to the noise, although it still scared him a bit) and ran back into the living room where Mommy was waiting for him, “All done!” he said happily.

“Good boy!” praised Mommy as she took Jerry’s hand and led him outside. Jerry smiled happily as excitement built up in his little body. He knew today would be a great day!
