I always heard that the episode portrayed us furries strange crazy people, and now I can agree with them. That episode basically humiliates us for the acts that we may/might do. What threw me over was when the guy fursuiter was in a cat fursuit and showed on the costume there was cum, CUM!!! OMG See things like that shouldn't be aired in that situation. If someone has no clue what a furry was up until then, they now probably think that all furries do that and if that person were to somehow meet a furry, he's now gona think back to that episode of CSI. I know in real life some, just some people do that but its something you wouldnt want the whole wold to know.
I cant stand it, Im gona go to bed......GGRRRrrrrrrrr......

According to a report on 2sense, the writers and producer actually got a fur in to validate the credibility...apperently it was alot worse before they got that guy in, but they conld't fix everything. howeevr, if it was more rediculus before, wouldn't that be better? Heheh. But there are furs like this (like in teh episode) and it protrays those specific furrs very well in my oppinion.

that may be so, but still, at the very least, they could have put a disclaimer or something up saying that not ALL furs are like that!

The media will always portray the most extreme examples of any group because "weird" sells. The so-called "normal" people love to look at those different from themselves in the worst possible light because it makes them feel more secure. They get to say "Look, I'M not a freak, HE is!" It's not new, in fact it used to be somewhat worse. Do any of you remember the crap we went through in the late 90's? The famous Vanity Faire article "Pleasures of the Fur" where the author basically reported on a fur con and mocked us as complete losers for three or four pages. Or MTV's Sex 2k special that featured a teenage fur coming out to his mother on camera while wearing a fursuit? Or how about Katherine Gate's book Deviant Desires that calls furs "Zeta Males who had to find something else to have sex with since they couldn't get a woman." she also interviewed an unemployed man who had hundreds of plushies and claimed to have had sex with a dog because "the dog initiated it".
So, bad as this episode was, I still think we've seen worse in the past. To be honest, I'm almost numb to it. I really do hate the media, and as I said before: I simply won't watch TV anymore.

listen ppl you gotta take it from a normal persons point of view, to them its sick and disturbing ( and and at times it is) but what they dont see is that there is diffrent lvls of fur fandom. but also as furrys we must accept the fact that we will always be frowned upon by culture (no matter what) so instead of watching any of the bad hype why dont we just turn off the tube and take comfert within each other?

when and where ever theres a thing that grows in fandom, there will be a group that will whip there dicks to it. even in childrens television! and thats all that catches the medias eyes, negativity.

Just ignore it. If someone can't see you for who you truely are, and use some stereotype caused by public media, you shouldn't try to be their friend anyways. Things like that you probably wouldn't bring up when meeting someone, so strangers probably won't think badly of you anyways.

Well I've finally seen that ep. I was watching CSI on the TV in the rec room last night and it came on. And well. Sure it's not flattering to us but I can't see where it's really all that horrible. I mean it was kind of funny. One of the guys at least looked at it objectivly and wasn't insulting it. Just take a step back and look at it and you'll get a laugh. I know I did. I found it kind of funny that a guy in a racoon suite ened up like a lot of actual racoons as road kill. XD. But somebody should tell these producers that yeah some furrs are like that but the majority of us actually have lives. Some of us have pretty good lives. Well that's my two cents.
