| An original poem about the hardest thing in life Are you happy now? In life we have so many roads So many places, people to meet It seems you can find your personal savior On any given street There are people that make us happy The people that bring us joy But what we have to know is They cannot be our toy As these people in your world Bring you all this glee You have to ask yourself Does this make them happy as me? Surely these people bring you love And seize you when you’re low But if they aren’t happy You have to let them go. Let the burdened joy givers Who have given their souls to you Go forth and find their own path To a happiness so true Yes you will be hurt Yes you will be sore But take comfort in your letting go That they have one comfort more Yes, of course they love you They love you most of all But they can’t feel the same pleasure as you If they must always break your fall So to friends and lovers everywhere Who have set free the ones so dear Look to the happiness of those you let go And draw your happiness from here And for those false liberators Seeking this poem for self destruction Or maybe to guilt the one that you freed Then you are in need of instruction One does not free another soul To find self pitying ways But to preserve a fire everlasting So in both hearts it stays I sit here now in the dark and cold Feeling the spark of above If you care for someone, let them free Not for pity, or guilt, but for love.
