FA DownTime.

Ok cuz a lot of us here love FA but it seems a lot of people don't like checking the message board I'll give you guys a breakdown of how things are going on it. The site had one of it's usual problems and the staff finally decided to leave it down until they can fix the problem and stop it from reoccuring. Which means getting a few brand new top of the line kick ass servers. They've already been ordered but the FA staff is still waiting on one server to be delivered. Which we're not sure one. One letter to them said divlivery would be the 24th and another said the 16th. So the new server should be in sometime between those two dates. At which time they'll get the system back together and back up.

No they won't. All Data as in art and stuff is 100% safe and will be there when FA comes back online. So there's nothing to worry about. Just the wait we've been having.

32 GB of RAM? Holy Molly that sounds like a powerhouse already.

Very quickly though, what was the problem that FA kept having in the past? Problem with server, but any knows of what nature exactly? OS crashing, hardware failure, some more obscure techie stuff I wouldn't come up with off the top of my head?

I think it's a combination of the obscure techie thing and the hardware because FA got a lot of viewers and members and all that. But on the bright site the site will be back up in about a week or so. Can't wait.

Without being an expert, it sounds like too much traffic for the server to handle to me. In short, server wasn't powerful enough. But that's just me.
