| Hey everyone. I just realized that I have numorous furry instincts now. They're unavoidable, I just have to do them. For example, when someone I look up to and trust tells me to do something (I.E: Get me a drink) I run and do it. Also, I beg for food all the time, and when I stretch out on a bed or chair, I purr loudly. I'm sure this has something to do with my strange increased sense of hearing an smell. Anyone else have these things? | |

| Ya know I've noticed stuff like that too. Someone in the family ask me to do something and I'll automatically go do it. And I do the same thing when I stretch. Go figure. | |

| Actually, I just noticed yesterday that I was eating a sandwich in a squirrelly kind of way - holding it in both hands and nibbling. | |

| Really ZeeZee? Cause I've noticed that before I eat fruits of veggies I'll rin them through my hands, like how raccoons clean their food! | |

| lol butts....
I generally curl up in a ball all the time. Mostly when I sleep. Me being a cat, I sleep all the time. I beg for food too...lol
I slept for an entire day yesterday....yeah! 24 hours!
Only other thing I've noticed is that I can tell when someone is around me without hearing or smelling them, kind of weird.

| Wow...I thought it was my imagination, but it looks like all furs have animal traits! I've noticed loud noises startle me more than most people and I sleep curled up under the covers. This is kinda weird. | |

| I usually sleep curled up myself. Normally with my big stuffed charmander. And yeah I got that presence thing too. Ya don't hear, see, or smell a person but ya still know the they're coming or something. | |

| I'm glad to see others who share these "qualities" besides me. I can always tell when someone's near, sometimes even who it is. I've also taken to sleeping curled up in a ball. Last week I "felt" that it was going to rain and it did. | |

yeah, I'm pretty jumpy too! Like when it's quiet and someone makes a loud noise, my heart races like I gotta fight or run! lol

| this is really interesting that you guys are exsperienceing all these thing, but then how come im not?? Man I feeling majorly left out, though I would say I think I have chracteristics of a dragon. For exsample I get ralled up easly, and I have quite the temper. But as for purring and sleeping in a ball, that dose not happen to me, although some times I can sence when people are coming to my room or some thing like that. | |

| I also instinctively tap my foot when I'm excited about something, without knowing I'm doing it. | |

| Hmm...how interesting of a concept. Furs having similar chracteristics to that of really animals...how novel of a concept yet it lacks reasoning. I can only deduce that this may be so because we as furs feel a somewhat connection with animals which in turn may lead to these "instincts" that we notice within ourselves. I find that these "instincts" are more unique traits then anything and become more relevent and noticible because we as furs have an understanding of the fur nature. Well in any case I too have noticed to do things similar to animals such as I do follow commands if I am told so and I also curl up in a ball when I sleep but besides that I cant see any other comparison. | |

| I'm finding this very fascinating so I'll think I'll make a few lists of all the instincts everyone has stated so far.
Furries have many of the common traits: Often they will do things when told to. Sounds such as 'purring' 'whimpering' or 'growling'. Improved senses, most common being smell and hearing. Curling into a ball to sleep. Able to identify people by smell. Able to feel the prescence of others.
Some Furries have these uncommon traits: Startled by loud noises. Eating foods like an animal.
These are traits that I have, that came about as the training I went through to be able to activate the "Flight or Fight" response whenever I wanted:
I am immediately able to sense when someone is near me and can often identify them. I can tell if a storm is coming. (Although not what kind or how bad it will be.) All of my senses have improved beyond what they were before. I am more graceful than I was before. I can easily read facial expressions and body language. I am physically stronger, and have more endurance. I am capable of making animal-like noises. (I can growl, hiss, and roar.) I instinctively use my nails to get people to release me. I am now claustrophobic.
