Essentially this thread is dedicated to those games that just made you, well wanna tear your hair out, stamp your feet, and just throw a tantrum.
Don't simply just put up a game that upsetted you though, make sure to also say why it upsetted you.

Anyways this may be quite a shock for some if not most of you out there, but the original Metroid for the NES deffinitly frustrated me, and got me to start swearing.

I mean you ALWAYS start out with just 30 energy, and in areas like Kraid's lair the enemies there will hit you for 10 energy, basically killing you in just three hits, and that's with the Varia suit which halves all damage in half. It just really makes no sense to me why they always start you out already most of the way dead, doesn't make the game any more fun, or difficult because really that's not real difficulty, it's entirely fake, and also it takes FOREVER to fill your hp back up to the top, especially if you've got six out of the eight Energy Tanks since you can only use 6, while the other 2 pretty much are just for show. Also there are no stations in this game to refill supplies since they didn't come out with that nifty little feature until Super Metroid on the Snes, and also energy drops at complete random after killing something, so it can vary how long it takes for you to get enough to even begin to stand a chance against some of the later, far more deadly enemies like the Metroids in Tourian.

So yeah even trend starters, and truely classic, nostalgic games like Metroid have their major faults sometimes.

Ninja Gaiden 2. its engine was a bit iffy on jumps and ledges. if your jump was a fraction off you fell to an early grave or had to start again from the bottom no hope of a rebound. also its boss fights were irritating as hell... your attacks doing peanuts while theirs kill you in more or less 1 hit urrrgh!

I never found it that hard o_o

I loved SA2B...I wish I still had it.

Splinter Cell: Double Agent...About the only game I can think of that I had issues with.

Okay another frustrating game, with this one possessing many more dick moves then the original Metroid, is Iron Sword Wizards & Warriors 2 for the NES.
Now note that the first three games in the series were named Wizards & Warriors 1, 3, and Iron Sword Wizards & Warriors 2.
There is a reason why the second game in the series has the title "Iron Sword" placed before the name of the series it's a part of.
The reason is Iron Sword unlike it's prequel, and sequel has EASY bosses, but which are undefeatable without the magic spell you need to obtain from a chest in the same level the boss is in to kill him, with said magic spell making it impossible for you to lose.
Also this game is ball bustingly harder then it's prequel, and sequel, and unlike it's prequel Wizards & Warriors 1 there are no infinite continues, and you only get three up until the earth based world since the game decides at that point to be a dick, and take all of your continues away from you.
I do not think this game is possible to beat without eventually using codes to start off where you were last killed, especially since the final boss is like fifty times harder then the previous four bosses, and who'll essentially air juggle you, making you unable to counter attack him while consecutively getting hit until eventually dying.
Also this is the same game I mentioned in my silly little "Cursed game" thread, oh but curse or no I finally beat it, but ofcourse with codes to help me start back off at the final boss with three full lives since he kept killing me =p.
I can't really say anything about the third installment in the series, and to be honest I kinda ignore it, and only pay attention to Wizards & Warriors 1, it's sequel Iron Sword, and the only Wizards & Warriors not on the NES "Wizards & Warriors X Fortress of Fear" which is for the original Game Boy.
Why do I ignore the third game in the series?
Well they changed everything I loved about the series, even the graphics which in my honest opinion were just fugly in Wizards & Warriors 3.
Anyways so yeah if you're feeling nostalgic/masochistic then play Iron Sword!
Fun game, but it'll PISS YOU OFF! ^^
