"Hi there Haku. It's nice to meet you." Spencer said kneeling down with a crinkle to shake his hand.

He giggles and shakes his hand.

"So uhh, how'd the eternity respond to the techs?" He asked.

"Quite well. The ships smarter then the techs. Athena's teaching them about the ship's systems and the techs are practically drooling over it. As it turns out there are several other Sentient AIs on board that they're working on brining online." Spencer said smiling standing up and stretching.

Nym grinned, "That's good to hear, how long should it take them to bring the sub systems back online?" Nym asked, going to the fridge and grabbing a glass of green tea.

"Bout a day or so. Those systems were still in sleep more and need time to come back online." Spencer said.

"That's good to know...Want anything?" He asked.

"I'll have a soda if ya don't mind." Spencer said smiling. He always had one in the morning. Sort of an extra jolt to get him fully awake.

He reaches in and pulls out a can of Draconian Lightning (Mountain Dew) and tosses it to Spencer. "Here ya go."

"Thanks. So what you have planed for today?" Spencer asked opening it and taking a drink.

"Well I have to go meet with one of the Rakon undercouncils and get their permission to adopt Haku. That's gonna take most of the day.

"Well I have some pull with the council. I think I speed things up for ya by getting some of the paper work done in advance. Heck I don't have a Quantum computer in my head for nothing." Spencer said smiling as he partitioned off some of it to do the paper work.

Nym blinked in surprise. "Thanks, that should help a bunch."

Haku plays with a catnip hackeysack he always carries

*walks over to the living room and flops down onto the couch, and turns on the tv*

"Ah it's no problem. I don't mind helping." Spencer said taking a seat.

"I'll go take care of it then," He said, heading back upstairs to change into something more decent.

Haku falls asleep on the floor.

Once he had gotten dressed, Nym headed out and got into his hover car. Starting it up, he drove to the council chamber and headed for the door marked 'family hearings'. Stepping inside, he saw that everything had already been prepared and was waiting for him.

"Ah, Nym. It's good to see you again." said Rakonian Counilor Ishinra, one of Nyms friends.

"Yes, it is, but tell me is everything ready?" Ishinra nodded. Just sign here. He said, pointing to a paper.

Spencer smiled watching the proceeding through a maintenance bot. He looked at Haku asleep on the floor and sighed. He picked him up and laid him on the couch.

Nym signed it, "Well it's official, he's in your care now." the Rakon said as he headed for the door. "I have a full case load, but perhaps we'll talk later." Nym nodded.

By the time haku awoke, it was Mid-Afternoon.

"Afternoon sleepy head. Your new daddy should be back any minute now." Spencer told him with a smile.

"he got the files sighned did he, well thats good." *yawns softly showing his rows of sharp teeth*
