Zan's Poems ((Tell me what you think!))

Father
I loved you
You hugged me,
You held me,
You loved me,
You caught me,
You thought things through

I believed you
I hoped you were right,
I thought you didn't lie,
I tried to go against the grain with you,
I tried to follow in your foot steps,
I didn't leave you

I doubted you
I saw reason and truth through another,
I thought that what they said had some sense,
I asked you and your stories didn't match everytime,
I still talked to you and thought something of you,
I wanted the truth and nothing more

I believe another one
I tried another persons ways and had some success,
I strayed a path for myself and got somewhere,
I asked with you and you punished me,
I still defended and pretended you'd come through,
I was left on a limb to dry

I was left alone
I wouldn't take the cold myself and got my own personality,
I went with myself and had my friends to stand on,
I am smarter than I appear and this I can garuntee,
I figured it out
I don't need you anymore

I don't love you anymore
I want someone who cares and for that I turn to my friends,
I want someone who loves and for that I turn to my mate,
I want someone who supports me and for that I look to everyone else,
I want a life; one that's not run by you
I am me
