PostSubject: a neko christmas   Mon Feb 05, 2007 3:47 pm

i couldnt get the feel of the first kit fox type story so i strated a 2nd. i guess this one might be a little more believeable

When you feel all alone
And the has turned its back on you
Give me moment please to tame your wild wild heart
I know you feel like the walls are closing in on you
It’s hard to find relief and the people can be so cold
When darkness is upon your door and you feel like you can take any more

Let me be the one you call
If you jump I’ll break your fall
Lift you up and fly away with you into the night
If you need to fall apart
I can mend a broken heart
If you need to crash then crash and burn
You’re not alone

(crash and burn; savage garden 1999)

His short dream was broken by the sound of banging on his door as like every morning the hung over disgrace that was his foster father rose him to make his breakfast .
“Hey! Get up you bad excuse for a foster child!” he roared. With an annoyed groan he sat up rubbing his head with a heavily scarred left arm. His fore arm was a lattice of strap, switch and knife blades from either his foster father or from incidents in his chosen part time profession. Behind his hand a pair of burning blue eyes shone as he got up to open the buckling door.
“Its 6am” he grunted at the arrogant old man. The scent of stale ale hanging under his nostrils “what do you want?”
“Make me breakfast.” The old man demanded. His eyes dilated as he strained to focus on the young teen in front of him. The teen sighed shaking his long haired head.
“Fine…” he muttered closing the door cursing in Japanese “who the hell does he think he is? All he does is demand this and demand that. I cant take this any longer!” with an angry groan he pulled on a tee shirt and his camo pants taking time to look at his scars and the mysterious eagle carved into the top of his arm. The song rose in his head once again. As he stared at himself in the mirror. It was not sung by the people who wrote it. The voice was female, soft, loving gentle. It made it sound like a lullaby more than a song of love... it gave him a slight hope that once…just once the one thing he yearned for would come true… with a deep breath he opened a small drawer a small bandage sat in the middle of the empty storage space. Grasping the ended with his fingers he began the lengthly chore of wrapping it round his arm covering the farrago of scars on his arm…

By the time of cooking breakfast and cleaning the plates it was a mad rush to get to school. As usual completely missing breakfast and only stopping to chug the mug of strong tea as fast as his burning gullet could take the boiling liquid. With a final gasp like a fish out fop water he grabbed his bag and bolted for the door
“Off to school!” he shouted as the door closed behind him as soon as he was out of view from the house he slowed down leaning against a street sigh. It was still dark out as he looked up into the sky, the moon still shining through the clear cloudless night sky. Off in the east the sun began to rise. Its first rays of light beating back the darkness like the lone warriors fighting a stand as their reinforcements rushed to their aid. He leant against the street sign watching the sun rise. As the sun hit his face he felt his heart melt slightly. His cold exterior melted to a more tolerable level as other school students began to make their way to school. Like everyone else he began his daily trek to school…

On a dark Christmas morning the sun broke the mountain side like water broke over stone. Sat in an arch a young boy sat, he stared into the sunrise as it rose higher and higher watching the city he lived in as the once deserted living rooms of the houses he could see filled with children and their loving parents. All day like a vigilant guardian he watched his heart yearning for what they all had… as the sun set shortly after it had risen a single tear fell from he left eye the splash on the stone arch echoed around him as the darkness crept in. 11 years this had been his Christmas… unknown to him it was to be his last.

“Ken? Are you still awake?” a voice said
“Hmmm?”
“Ken!” it’s shouted breaking him from his day dream. He jumped to looking at the teacher as he stared hard at the young teen “what’s the answer?”
“To what?” he asked looking at his bandaged arm.
“by the gods!” the teacher shouted making every one laugh “your so stupid you couldn’t answer your name!”. Kens eyes fell on his teacher they burned with a icy blue fire as he clenched his jaw his fist clenched up the cracks of the joints audible even in the laughter.
And you couldn’t teach to save your wife from a rat.” He muttered in Japanese as he looked at the question. “If you’ve finished humiliating me.” He said between clenched teeth looking at the teacher with intense hatred “I wasn’t listening could you please repeat the question?”.

Another long day another day to walk home as ken walked through the streets this winter the wind howled as snow began to fall quickly whipping up into a huge blizzard. Ken was unknowingly getting swept off course as he struggled forward using his books are as a shield against the wind while trudging forward when he finally stopped to looked around. Though out the 2 metres he could see around him all he saw was trees.
“Where the hell am I?” he grunted to himself as he carried on his struggle slowly his strength being sapped from his body as he forced himself on.
“Maybe I’m close to hoommmmeeeee!!!!!2 he said falling down a hill he had not seen as he hit the side painfully he cried out as he rolled down. The distinctive crack as his shoulder broke and he tumbled on down with a sudden weightlessness he dropped like a stone hitting the ground with a thump…. With his last of his energy he crawled along the ground to a strange figure walking towards him as his eyes began to blur
“Please!” he begged “help…me”…he went blank as he passed out the snow forming around him in mere seconds.

The voice sang its lullaby once again as he lay in the snow. As his mind finally phased out the words changed the woman’s voice sounding close as if she was next to him.

Find peace little one… you’ll be safe soon

Slowly ken opened his eyes as the sun broke his eye lids he covered his eyes with a sudden “ack!” squinting from mere slits he tried to look around his eyes slowly focusing. He was laid on a sofa wrapping loosely in a towel as if he had been dried off. The room was bright and warm a small log fire burned gently in a marble fireplace the walls relatively clear of pictures Naturally he swung his legs round to sit up as 2 things clicked into his mind.
1. This sofa was huge!
2. He was too big to be draped in a towel fully…
Cautiously he looked around then at his arm. The scars of old were gone as if they had simply been rubbed away like pencil while the eagle still gleamed on his arm his body hair was gone like it had been shaved. His hands moved to find his hair. Like always it was still long and down his back. His heart froze as an item broke his smooth motion. His eyes went wide as his hand ran over something on the top of his head as he glided over the with soft fingers he realised feeling the sides of his head…

His ears had moved! And what’s more he had a tail…

“Wait! A tail!” he nearly shouted as the flash of white came from the corner of his eye he looked at the now long and bushy tail that formed from the base of his spine his eyes wide with fear as he got more and more confused tears began to form at the corners of his eyes for the first time in almost half a decade as his emotion control shattered to the 4 winds.

And to confuse him more a soft familiar voice spoke up from behind him.

“It seams my little kit is finally awake”…
