Dan sleeps soundly as he dreams of when his family was whole. Before all of this happened.

Joey starts to dream of his past and all he sees in his dream are angry eyeballs staring at him and him looking at the mutalated bodys of his familys remains

After a while Dan wakes up in the night like usual and walks around the house he checks in on Joey.

Dan just stood there at the door. In the dark light Joey looked alot like his brother. Dan wondered what his lil bro was doing right now. If he was sound asleep. Laying awake thinking about something. If he was maybe even haveing his bad dreams. He wished they were there already.

suddenly Joey woke from his sleep "Is it morning"said joey

"Nope. It's only one in the morning. You should get some more sleep." Dan siad knowing he should too but doubting it would happen.

joey said "if there was a train running tonight we should have taken it and sleeped on the way"said joey as he rubbed his eyes "i guess its like x-mas you can never fall asleep"

"Yeah. I usually do have a hard time sleeping when I'm away from my only family. What can I say I worry." Dan said still thinking about his brother.

" I cant sleep cause im not used to all this fur" said joey

"Want me to turn the fan on. That might help." Dan suggested.

"I guess" said joey now wide awake

Dan flipped the switch for the fan and it kicked on. "So why are you awake anyway? Bad dreams?" He asked.

"that and my ears picked up your movement" he said

"Oh sorry. I had some not so pleasant dreams myself." Dan siad sinking into a chair next to the bed.

joey replied "I just want my hands back"

"Can I see them? I might be able to do something now the your genes have settled." Dan asked in that big brother voice.

"ok lets give it a shot " replied joey

Dan claped his hands and took Joey's paws in hand. He simply switch a few genes for the for paws to make them more like hands.

joey looked at his paws "they look ok but they feel sharp" he said as extremely long claws forced there way out of his skin "that cant be good" said joey

"Well I think thats as good as I can get them." he siad snipping the claws shorter with some clippers. "But at least now you have functional hands." He siad smiling.

"i guess your right" said joey

"Hey now you can thumb wrestle with the best of em." Dan said jokeingly.

"yea just hope my claws dont grow back in the process" joey said smileing
