Riku nodded walking over takeing off his clothes save his boxers

Sovan went around to the other room to check on the DNA files and give the captian some privacy.

Yuffie quickly examined him then finished up " ok ur all good.." she said

"Well DNA storage looks fine to me." Jovan said comming back out.

Riku smiled "good good" he was fully dressed again

Yuffie blinked " isnt cloneing illegal now?" she said thinking the DNA was for cloneing purposises

"Actually it isn't. And the DNA we have in storage isn't exclusively human or even a senitent being's DNA for that matter. Think of it as a sort of Noaha's Ark." Jovan said.

"ohhhh...this one understands now" she sighed sitting on a doctors chair

Riku walked back to the bridge and sets down in his chair

Jovan walked back to his quarters. He sat at his desk looking over the latest incoming stats on the failing enviroment. Yet another long list of species faded into extection. He sighed and laid down on his bed trying to clear his head.

Riku sighed they were close to launch...he alwase got nerveous when they neared launch

Jovan looked out his window over the earth. Soon the ship would launch leaving the world behind. Forever. Soon human feet would be absent from it's soil. Soon life would vacate this world. Jovan was saddened by this. "Millions of years of evolution ends on earth with this." He said quitely to himself. At least it will go on somewhere else. He thought.

Riku heard the countdown and the engines started p and roared catapulting them into the stars

Jovan looked around at the ship. So far so good. They were scheduled for a test flight around the system before they transited to the light drive and headed for worlds unknown. Though few on earth knew it. The future of humanity rested with this ship. Jovan got up and started walking for the bridge. The world councel had asked him and the capain to say a few words before the ship left the system.

Riku sighed as they made a pass around the earth

"Hello captain. So given any thought as to what you'll say before we depart the solar system?" Jovan asked stepping onto the bridge.

"not a clue...i've never been mutch of a public speaker"

"Ah. I think I know what I'm going to say. It'll sound good now and when the people on earth learn what's going to happen." Jovan said.

"well u give them a speech i'll give them the bad news i'm good at that"

"Um.....there NOT getting the bad news. Everything about the planet dieing is classified to the highest level. If people knew the world was going bust there's be mass mayham and panic. We're to keep quite about that. Let them have a few more stable years. As far as what everyone else knows this is a ten year mission to explore the galaxy and come back with what we've seen. No one knows otherwise." Jovan explained with a sigh.

"fine with me lets get this started" he activated to comm to earth

"Greetings world council. And greetings to all the world. As we embark on this momumental Journey to the stars we will miss you all terrribly. We will miss our beloved home. But we leave it to acomplish a mission that will better our knowledge. May every man, woman, and child look up to the stars and know that somewhere out there. We're looking back. God speed the wheels of Knowledge. Farewell." Jovan said his speeach in a memorable tone.

"let our names go down in history as the first people men women and others will be the first to explore strange new worlds befrend new speices and bodly go were no one has gone befor" Riku said smileing he switched off the comm " that went well" he smiled

"Yes it did." Jovan said smiling. "So have you seen the ship wide bet. Some of the crew are placing bets on exactly how the world's gonna go out. I'm betting in the chaos to come somebody uses that antimater bomb and ends it quicly." Jovan said with a bit of a laugh.

"...i dont like thinking of that...i was there when they first tested that bomb a hundred people died in mere seconds thanks to that bomb..." Riku sighed and walked out of the bridge and to his quarters
