Time of Hardship

Dacian cracks a silent smile and salutes to tanner as the last trace of him vanishes into the halls.
"Well actually, no one un-freezes 'em." the wolf boy chuckles and places a hand on Shiro's shoulder, "Last year, Mr. Yipp' and his advisers had a rather, Unique, disagreement about school protocol regarding eduction into the Black-Arts, and Life-Magik."
He turns his head and looks back down into the yard.
"The old guy says that his right and left hand men, jumped him with some sort of Magik helmet, and tried to force it onto him, after that, no one's sure, all anyone knows is that next day, they found the Headmaster in that courtyard, surrounded by the other members of the council, he was the only one not petrified.."
He points his finger at a random youth.
"Bang! You're a statue..."
With a malevolent grin he looks back to Shiro and Nick.
"Only Mr.Yipp knows for sure what happenned to them."

Vicente looked back at his group he felt something may be happening but had no idea what thats when they decided to attack one of them hit his face another tossed him into a ditch they proced to beat him with random objects befor he had the chance to use his power they finished him then climbed out of the ditch one of them was dumb enough to have a bottle of water it suddely exploded into needles of ice Vicente then got up snarling " thos bastards" he said not able to pass out from sutch a weak beating

Shiro looked at the statues again with a sort of awe. And something new. Fear. Whatever had petrified these people was powerful. It shows how much darkness the Head master wielded. Shiro walked up to one and touched it and then fell back on his backside shivering. "They're still alive!" He shivered. "A-at least in part."

"ALL-RIGHT!! A FIGHT!" A boy with firey red hair cackles as he sprints towards one of the boy climbing out of the ditch.
The youth has no time to raise his hands in defence as the nameless vigilante leaps into the air with his knee bleow the other boy's chin.
The child cries out as he arches upwards and back into the pit.
"HEHE! Whose next." he cries as he lands lightly in the ditch beside Vincent.

Dacian's ears twitch and he sighes.
"Sounds like a fight, good, this will be easier to watch than explain. Follow me, and you might learn something about the rules around here."
He begins walking towards the fight.

Shiro shakes off the weird feeling from the statue and follows Dacian. He was curious to see this. And he wanted to put some distance between himself and those statues.

Matt turns to see that Dacian had gotten involved with a small skirmish that had broken out and he gave a small smile and watched, seeing how close he could get to watch.

((its vicente trust me i like it better than vincent)) Vicente snarled getting up drawing the masamune on his back he cut at the boy who attacked him

Tanner has arrived at the skirmish and stands watching, his magic held in tight control to be used only if Vicente was likely to be seriously harmed.

Vicente was weak but would not die for anyone his body hurt and all he wanted was to go into the water and heal but he knew he would be able too yet

A large group of short figures has gathered around the scuffle, all curiously looking over the heads of those in front. A larger figure glides towards the mass, and his pointed black cap marks him as a Citadel instructor.
"You'll find that the teaching methods here are, unnusual.." Dacian says pointing out the instructor.

"DEFEND YOURSELVES!" The dark man shouts, and unpockets his hands, laiden with enchanted rings.
"Oh shit?" The red headed boy breaths.
Energy swirls around the instructor's right hand, he makes symbols and gestures with the other.
"Get DOwn!" The unknown red head cries, and shoves Vicente aside.
Suddenly a pillar of earth shunts the boy out of the ditch, mere moments ago Vicente had been standing in that very spot.
"You see," Dacian explains, "The only rule we have is, Only the strong will survive.."

The instructor levels his eyes with Vicente. Without warning, a stream of lightning makes for the boy.

Vicente smiled and lept up useing needles of blood rocketing at the man he snarled falling and slashng out with his masamune

He ducked at a rock flew past his head dislodged from the pillar rising from the earth. "Wow, that was fast." he muttered and kept watching in interest, anger held in check for now. "Dick..." he growled.

Shiro gets down on the ground the water vapor in the air around him condenses forming an ice dome and the wind swirled around it as an added layer of protection.

He swirls a thin column of flame, melting the rock and scorching the earth around him.

A sudden blast of hot air seperates Vicente and the instructor, knocking all the spectators to their rears in the process.
"Try harder, boy." He jeers waving his hands and sculpting the steam between them, "You should just die right now if that's your best shot, because continueing to fight me will be far more painful.."
As if he were tossing a heavy rock, the man scoops his arms and then jerks them towards Vicente, exhaling sharply at the same time.
A heavy wind picks up, enough to start a sandstorm, and pelts Vicente with grit and dirt, flying so fast that they bruise and even cut his exposed flesh.
His shield errected, the man charges another spell, as can be seen by the swirling power sparkling gold and blue around his hands.

"KID!!" Dacian shouts recognizing the energy, and therefore the spell that the dark robed man was about to unleash, "GET OUT OF THE WAY!! GO FOR HIS RINGS!"

The annoyed instructor, points a finger at Dacian, and a yellow beam strikes the wolf boy right above the heart.
The second year gasps and shuts his eyes as he pitches backwards, stiff as stone.
"Enough outa' you!" the man chuckles and goes back to preparing his spell, but Dacian's interuption has let his wind shield dispell, and nothing stands between Vicente and his opponent.

His anger finally let's loose and he aimed a molten hot wave of flame from his palm 4' tall at the instructor. "ENOUGH!" he yells, trying to end it here and now.

Shiro stands up his dome shaters into spikes that are prepelled the the instructior. "Stop this NOW!" Shiro said wind swirling around his body.

Vicente tossed a needle of ice at his rings his already beaten body feeling even more weak

Unprepared for attacks from so many angles, the insructor can't defend himself, and still finish his spell against Vicente.
His concentration broken, so as well does his spell die before it is even born. With a cry of distress the man leaps over the wave of flames, fending the spikes of ice off with his off hand. Believing himself safe, the instructor brushes his hair aside absently, just as Vicente's projectile assaults the rings on his right hand.
"CUR- *CRASHHAAA--BABOOOOOM!!*" the instructor can't even finishe his words, as the energy within the ring searches for an escape, and explodes from it's container.
The ring must have held fire Magik as the next thing seen of the instructor is his smoking body flopping on the ground, several dozen feet away.

Shiro just stood there in awe that they actually beat this guy. He was now a smoldering corpse killed off by his own magic. "Wow. He's dead." Shiro said still keeping his distance from the body.

Vicente swayed panting falling to the ground his eyes closeing his body needed to heal and he neded to sleep his energy was eeak

He crept closer to the smoking body, unafraid of the elemental magic, he himself a wielder of the craft. "Aye, he is indeed dead......" he said with a triumphant grin.

Tanner grabbed Vicente before he could fall to the ground and picks him up. Then he looked at the corpse of the instructor and mutters, "He deserved it." He walks off to find a pool that Vicente can soak in to heal his injuries.

"I say good riddens. I hope his stay in hell is very painful." Shiro said as the wind swifling around him dissipated.

He headed back over to the group, a light, smoldering flame on his shoulder.
