"Timmy. He's my uncle." Franklen replied.

"You mean Timothy Brisby? I knew he had other relatives that didn't live here but not that he had nephews too. Well follow me I'll lead to right to his place." The rat said leading them off down the road.

Franklen looked nervously at his companions and then followed the rat.

The rat lead them to a large home near the Statue of Johnathan and Timothy Brisby. "Ya know kid your friend with the amulet looks famliar what's his name?" The Rat asked Franklen.

"His name's Nathan. He knew my grandpa." Franklen replied.

"Nathan...why does that name sound familiar?" The rat said aloud.

"It should sound familiar Daral. I was right above your cage back at Nimh." Nathan said with a smile.

"Wait a second....Nathan Nigher! I thought you got killed. Well I'll be." Daral said knocking on the door of a home. After a few moments Timothy opened the door.

"Hi Uncle Timmy!" Franklen jumped into Timmy's arms knocking him back a few steps.

Needless to say Timmy was surprised. "Franklen? Who'd you get here?" He asked.

"Mom and Grandma sent me here to go to school."

"Well it's great to have to here. How is your grandma?" Timmy asked smiling. Nathan walked in too behind ya. "Who are your friends?" Timmy asked.

"Grandma's okay, we visit her a lot. This is Nathan. And that's Sage sleeping on his back." Franklen turned to Nathan "This is my uncle."

"Timothy Brisby Nice to meet ya. I knew your dad. I was one of the mice of Nimh. And to explain my age lets just say the guys at Nimh loved to use me for experiments." Nathan said. Timmy nodded and then lead them all up stairs to a large spare room. "You guys can stay here." He said smiling.

"Here, these are for you." Franklen opened his pack and gave Timmy letters from his family.

"Awww thanks Franklen. I'll read these right away." Timmy said smiling and patting Franklen on the head before walking out of the room. Nathan laid Sage down on a bed.

Franklen went to bed but couldn't sleep thinking about everything that had happened that day and wondering what was going to happen now that they were in Thorn Valley.

Nathan changed quickly before bed and then climbed on in. It was a long day and tomorrow promised to be more of the same. After a few minutes he was off in dream land.

Still mulling over everything Franklen drifted off and slept until morning.

Nathan yawned the next morning stretching. He sat up and looked out the window. A nice sunny day to great him. He smiled.

"Good morning Nathan!" said Franklen brightly. He'd woken up early too out of excitement. "Should we go get my uncle up for breakfast?"

"Already up boys and breakfast is coming along." Timmy said opening the door. "I was just about to get you guys up for it."

"Morning Uncle Timmy! What are we doing today?"

Franklen followed Timothy down to breakfast while Timothy talked about introducing them around that morning.

"Well today we're going to go meet with Mr Ages and see about setting you up with some classes. He'll answer any questions you have." Timothy said as they reached the kitchen were breakfast was laid out. Nathan sat down and grinned at the food.

Sage just woke up and and joins them
