"Yeah lets get going." Nathan said standing up and grabbing his bag. "Hey sage. Wakey Wakey buddy. Time to move out." Nathan said shaking him gently.

Franklen gave Sage some breakfast he could eat while walking then climbed down to the ground.

Sage wakes up and eats "Thanks"

"Ok lets get walking. I don't know bout you guys but I'd like to sleep in a bed tonight." Nathan said smiling as they got to the ground.

"Yeah!" Franklen said excitedly, but then his face fell as he remembered his little problem. "Um, I hope they're happy to see us. I've never met the rats before."

"Don't worry the Rats are nice. Besides they know me and you guys are with me. Heck you Timothy's Nephew. So that diffinately counts for something." Nathan said as they walked.

Franklen brightens a bit. "Yeah, Uncle Timmy will be there. I haven't seen him in ages!" He starts to hurry.

"See. We'll be fine. I'm looking forward to meeting your uncle too. I've never met him before." Nathan said was they walked.

"He's great! A little quiet though." Franklen said as led the way down the path. He fell back with the others as the forest grew denser.

"Ah. So he's kinda like his dad then. He was nice but a lil quite." Nathan said smiling as Franklen shyed back with them. "Don't worry we'll be fine."

Franklen said nothing more but walked right next to Nathan and Sage. He seemed to be looking around intently.

As they walk Nathan's ears twitch. "You guys hear that?" He asked looking around warily.

Franklen stopped walking. "What do you hear?" He asked nervously, edging under a bush for cover.

"Something moving in the under brush. Low to the ground." Nathan said concentrating. "I think it's a snake."

Squeaking loudly, Franklen leapt from the bush he was under and darted up a tree.

"Good idea." Nathan said following him up the tree helping sage up.

Franklen froze as the snake's head poked out of a bush near where they had been standing. "We were almost eaten." he whispered.

"Yeah. Lucky I got good ears." Nathan said keeping his voice and head low.

The snake tasted the air with it's tongue and then slithered across the path into the bushes on the other side.
"Do you think it's gone?" Franklen whispered.

"It might be but it'd still be a good idea to wait a lil while." Nathan said listening intently. "Man if we had wings this would be a lot easier."

Sage stays close to Nathan.

Franklen sits in the tree watching the bushes.

"I-I'm scared..."

"It's ok Sage. I think it's gone now." Nathan said holding Sage close.
