"How bout school. I've been wondering what it looks like." Nathan said.

Timothy nods and leads the group through a series of tunnels, pointing out places they pass and introducing rats they meet along the way. Eventually he comes to a large room full of young rats. "This is the schoolroom." He says quietly, waving at a older rat who is apparently leading the class.

Sage looks at them all nervously

"Wow." Nathan said quietly as he looked the room over.

The teacher comes over to the group and introduces herself. "Hello there, my name in Nadine." she smiles at the young mice. "Who are your friends, Timmy?" she asks. This is my nephew Franklen. And these two are Sage and Nathan. He pointed to each in turn.

"Nice to meet you Ma'am." Nathan said politely.

Sage keeps quiet.

"Hi!" Franklen greeted her. "Aww... how cute they are. Are they going to be in my class?" Nadine asked. "Yes, I think so." Timothy replied. "But I'm not sure if they want to start today." He looked at the kids pointedly.

"Sure I'd like to be in your class. But I'd rather not start today. Tomarrow's fine with me though." Nathan said smiling.

"That's fine dear, we start at dawn. I'll prepare a lesson for you three. Have any of you been to school before?" Franklen shook his head no.

"Um does a freaky scientist trying to make you into super mouse count?" Nathan asked jokingly.

She looked at him questioningly, but smiled. Timothy chuckled a little. "I think that's a no." he said, "Anyway, we'll leave you alone now. You guys want to go meet Justin? He's in charge around here."

"Sure!" Nathan said grinning.

Timothy led them to another part of the colony, taking it slowly and pointing things out as they passed. "There's the storerooms, and over there is the hospital wing. Up those stairs is the library." Franklen stared around in wonder. Having never left his family's house on the farm before he was overwhelmed by all this.

Sage smiles and listens.

"Wow this is cool. The place is soo big." Nathan said so impressed he wet his diaper.

Timothy smiled and continued on until they reached a large door at the end of a corridor. "And in here is where the council meets. They're not in session right now, but Justin can usually be found in here anyway." He knocked and then opened the door to reveal a tall rat and a smaller heavyset one bent over some papers talking. "Hi Justin, Hi Adam. Hope we're not interrupting anything?"

The taller rat stood up and walked over to the group. As he moved a red stoned necklace shifted and slid out of his tunic. "Not at all Timothy. Who are your friends?" His gaze passed over the kids and he smiled at them.

Nathan smiled. "I'm Nathan. I think you might remember me from Nimh Justin." Nathan said smiling.

Justin furrowed his brow, thinking. "Well...I knew a few mice at Nimh. Are you saying you're one of them?" He looked skeptical.

Sage peeks out from behind Nathan.

"Yep. You should know how much those scientist liked to mess with the younger mice and rats. They stopped my aging process. Besides if I wasn't from Nimh how would I have an amulet too." Nathan said pulling his blue one from under his shirt.

Justin held up his red amulet. "This belonged to Johnathan Brisby, one of the mice I knew from Nimh. If yours is similar..." He was interrupted as his amulet began to flash and glow when it got near Nathan's.

Nathan watched as his Amulet did the same thing. "ow. I guess they recognize each other or something." Nathan said looking at them.

"You know, I think I may remember you after all. It seems like forever since I was in Nimh, but I'll never forget the experience. It's incredible that others have survived, and that we've met each other again after so long." He put his paw on Nathans shoulder. "You are welcome to stay here as long as you like, and so are your friends." He looked up at the others with a smile.
