Franklen sat down and began to eat. "Are you two going to be taking classes too?" he asked Sage and Nathan.

"Well that was the plan." Nathan said happily eating his breakfast.

Sage began to eat, not saying a word.

"Anything wrong Sage?" Franklen asked with concern. Timothy looked up at the little mouse too.

"You ok buddy?" Nathan asked putting a hand on his shoulder.

Sage snaps out of it "Y-yeah."

Franklen looked at Sage with concern a moment longer and then quickly finished eating. "Can we go see Mr Ages now?"

"Of course." Timothy said getting up and leading them to the door.

Franklen took Sage's paw and followed his uncle to the door. "Are you guys ready to go?"

"Yep I guess so." Nathan said smiling. He was looking forward to seeing Mr. Ages again.

Franklen followed Timmy through the Valley to another dwelling where Timmy called out "Hey! Get out here old timer! You've got visitors!"

Sage stays behind Nathan and Franklen. He was a little nervous.

"I'm coming I'm coming." said an impatient voice coming to the door. Mr Ages opened it. "Ah Timothy and who have you brought to see me?" Mr Ages asked.

"This is my nephew Franklen." Timmy said, gesturing. "And this is Nathan, and the little one is called Sage. They're here for schooling. Only Nathan said he already knows you..."

"Nathan Oleth. Been away Ages." Nathan said smiling to his old friend and dangling the amulet and smiling. "Great news I'm not dead. Although not for lack of Nimh trying." He joked. (Poco could you take control of Mr. Ages for his reactions to my character.)

Ages gaped at Nathan. "Good God! What are you... Where have you... " he stammered, "How did you get here? And where have you been?" "Maybe we should go inside first." Timothy advised, looking at the kids.

"Yeah. Don't worry Mr. Ages I'll explain everything." Nathan said with a smile.

Ages stepped aside so the others could enter. When they had all settled he looked at Nathan expectantly. "Well..." he asked, "how did this happen?" "I'd like to know how you know each other myself." Timothy added. Franklen, knowing the story already wandered around Ages' lab looking around.

"Well you know how those Guys at Nimh loved to use me for there experiments. Well they halted my aging process and had this negative side effect." Nathan said snapping the elastic of his plastic pants. "Anyway while we were escaping I got blown down the air shaft. But unlike the others I got blown through a diffrent shaft and managed to escape. Been on the run ever since. Till I heard about Thorn Valley from a crow and got some directions." Nathan explained.

Ages sat quietly, lost in thought. "We thought you were all dead." he said finally, "Please understand that we wouldn't have left you. It was so dangerous there. We couldn't stay and wait." He seemed uncharacteristically upset.

"It's ok. I got out. And from what I've heard you recently went back and got the other six back. From what a Pidgin told me the place burned to the ground." Nathan said with a smile. "Although I doubt that's the only play they set up shop."

"Probably not." Timothy said. "But let's not think about that right now." Ages stayed quiet as though lost in thought, looking up at Nathan every once in a while.

(by the way it's been a LONG time since I saw the second movie, so if I'm deviating from the story line to much let me know)

"Anyway the branch that knew about us is gone though. And I'm glad to be here. You did alright for yourself Ages." Nathan said smiling at his old friend.

Sage sits and stays quiet. "..."

Ages is startled out of his reverie. "What...oh yes its quite comfortable. You'll be staying I assume?" He looks over at Franklen suddenly "You there! Don't touch anything!" Franklen jumps and looks up guiltily from Ages' workbench. "Sorry." He sits down next to Sage.
