"You haven't changed a bit. He used to say that to everybody who got to close to his projects." Nathan said with a laugh. "Yeah I plan on staying. It's not like there's any place better to be."

Sage sits there, lost in thought.

Franklen fidgets a bit. He seems bored.

"Well anyway before you guys get your classes would you like a tour of Thorn Valley?" Timothy asked them.

Franklen leaped up excitedly. "Yeah!"

Sage simply nods and stands. He hasnt said a word the entire time he was at Ages' house.

"What's wrong Sage? Don't you want to see Thorn Valley?"

"Yeah you haven't said a word the whole time we've been here. You ok?" Nathan asked worried.

Sage looks up "That place you were talking about, Nimh, sounds familiar..."

Timothy and Ages look at Sage in surprise. "What are you talking about?" Ages asks.

"You were one of the others that went down another vent weren't you?" Nathan asked catching on.

Franklen looks confused. "I thought you from a nearby town?"

Sage nods "I think so Nathan... I remember it now..."

"I always though I heard another voice coming from that other vent as I fell. I guess now I know." Nathan said.

Ages and Timothy look stunned. Ages puts his paw on Sage's shoulder and gazes at him for a long moment.

Sage says nothing. His ears lower.

Nathan puts an arm around him. "Hey don't worry. I won't ask ya any more. I know how hard it is to talk about that stuff." Nathan said sympathetically.

Sage whimpers and leans into Nathan's chest and crys.

Nathan Hugs him and rubs his back. "Hey it's ok. You made it through it and your safe with us. We won't let anything like that ever happen again." Nathan told him comfortingly.

Sage murrs "Thank you... All of you..."

Franklen is shaken up even though he's having trouble understanding what's going on. He goes over to Timothy and takes his hand. Ages sits down and is quiet for a moment. "This is too much for one day, and it's not even noon yet." he mutters to himself.

"Come on Sage. What do ya say we take this tour and get our minds on something happy." Nathan suggested.

Sage nods and hods Nathan's paw

"Good idea." Timothy agrees and follows with Franklen. Ages stays behind. Timothy starts leading them around the valley. There are many more rats out then there were last night. "Anyone or anything in particular you guys want to see?" he asks.

Sage shrugs. "No idea."
